From detnews| April 28 , 2007 11:15 BJT

Two Chrysler Group executives have been promoted to take over the company's sales and marketing efforts, the company announced Friday.

Steven J. Landry will become executive vice president for North American sales, global marketing, service and parts, while Michael Manley will become executive vice president for international sales, marketing and business development.

Both men will report directly to Chief Executive Tom LaSorda, who had been running the sales and marketing operations since December. The promotions are effective May 1.

Landry currently is vice president of sales and field operations, while Manley is vice president of sales strategy and dealer operations.

They replace Joe Eberhardt, Chrysler's previous top sales executive who left to run his own Mercedes-Benz dealership. DaimlerChrysler AG's Chrysler Group announced Eberhardt's departure in December.
