Passenger car sales in China increased by 28.63% in June

According to the latest report from China Auto Industry Association, sales of passenger vehicles have surged by 28.63% y-o-y to 511,900 units, up 4.80% compared with May; sedan sales increased by 27.23% y-o-y to 384,300, up 4.47% compared with the previous month; SUV sales almost doubled to 30,300 units, up 8.03% compared with May. Sales of MPV decreased by 2.56% y-o-y to 17,300, up 8.99% compared with a month earlier; 79,900 units CUV were sold, 24.61% growth y-o-y and was 4.34% higher than the previous month.

The top ten automakers in domestic sedan sales, which includes FAW-VW, SVW, SGM, Chery Auto, DFL, Guangzhou Honda, FAW-Toyota, Geely, Changan Ford and Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Auto, sold a total of 257,100 sedans in June, taking up 66.88% of the total sales volume.
