Chery plans to double automobile exports '07

In the first half of this year, Chery vehicle exports rose by three times; Chery Automobile Company said that overseas auto sales this year is hopefully to be doubled.

Chery announced on July 11th that in the first half of this year its overseas sales reached 52,712 units, compared to the 13,548 units of last year, increased 289% y/y.

In addition, Chery Automobile Company estimated that sales in overseas markets will reach 100,000 units, compared to the year 2006, overseas sales increased by more than 50,000 vehicles, and increased 18,000 units compared with that of 2005.

Chery Automobile Company ranked fifth on the top ten sales list in the first half of this year. Its productions have been sold in more than 50 countries and regions in overseas market, most of these countries are in Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.
