Pickup sales topped 84,000 in 1st half year

Statistics from China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), sales of ten registered pickup makers in China were 84,755 units in the first half year of 2007, with Greatwall, Zhongxing, Zhengzhou Nissan claimed the top three spots. Local brand sales account for 80% of the total.

Greatwall pickup sales were 25,016 in the first six months of 2007, taking 29.5% of the total. Zhongxing Auto and Zhengzhou Nissan sold 14,287 and 13,033 vehicles respectively, accounting for 16,9% and 15.4% of the total in terms of market share, followed by Jiangling, Foton, Huanghai, Qingling, with 11,565, 6,788 5,360 and 4,643  vehicles sold respectively.
