Premium brands Audi, BMW and Lexus's sales in the first half of this year had marginal increase compared to those of last year. According to the sales figures released by CAAM earlier.

In the first half of 2007, BMW Group sold a total of 23,667 units, increased 38% y/y; of which BMW brand increased 36% to 22,891 units, MINI brand increased 131% to 776 units.

Mercedes-Benz saw a great sales increase, too. Its S series sales topped 5,000 units, increased 50% y/y; SUV were sold 86,500 units, increased 13%.

Audi remained its No.1 in the luxury market, with a total sale of 48,716 units increasing 27%.

The new comer Lexus were sold 12,000 units, increased 37.5%. "Lexus's relative low price and strong brand image are the key factors of successful marketing and sales." Insiders analyzed.
