Ford installment car sales hit 1,000 in July
Shanghai. August 15 (Gasgoo.com) - More than 1,000 Chinese customers bought Ford cars in installment in July, according to Ford Automobile Finance (China) Limited.
"The 1000 cars sold in installment include Mondeo, Focus, S-MAX and imported Navigator," said Hu Yuxiang, CEO of Ford China. "With new models introduced to China, Ford is attracting more potential customers."
Ford Automobile Finance (China) Limited, found in July 2005, provides two-year to five-year loans, and customers could borrow from bank as much as 80 percent of the car’s total costs.
The company has delivered 5,200 units to customers in the first seven month, and this figure is expected to reach 10,000 units by the end of this year.
Ford has sold a total of 94,064 units to Chinese customers in the first seven months, up 29% year on year.
Currently, Ford has one partner in China: Changan Automobile. The two parties set up a joint venture automobile company, Changan Ford Co, in Chongqing in 2001.
