Song Jun to Be Vice General Manager of Geely Automobile in China

Gasgoo (Shanghai, August 1)-Song Jun has been promoted to be vice general manager of Geely Automobile Sales Company, a subsidiary of Geely Group in China.

Duty of Song may be about management of business of cars while that of Nan Shengliang, another vice general manager of the company, may be about management of business of SUVs, according to insiders of Geely.

Song used to be the supervisor managing business of small cars and assistant of general manager in the company.

Marketing Layout of new products has led to considerable rise in sales in the first half of 2016 according to data from China Association of Auto Mobiles. Sales of Geely were 306,000 units in the first half of 2016 with a year-on-year rise of 17.3%. Adjustment on personnel is expected to improve sales in the second half of 2016.

There have been six modes including Emgrand GS, Boyue Compact SUV, Haoqing X6 and others launched by Geely in the past six months in 2016. And there may be Emgrand GL, a mode of SUV, to be launched in the second half of 2016.
