Chery: sales of 37,207 in January as its first runner-up in history

Data showed that Chery Automobile's sales of 37,207 units overtook FAW VW and Shanghai VW in January 2007. It is the first time for the enterprises got monthly runner-up in history.

According to the sales data released by national auto industry in January, the top four were Shanghai GM (40,570 units), Chery Automobile Company (37,207 units). Shanghai VW (35,128 units),  FAW VW (32,084 units).

Chery has benefited from the overall brand excellent sales performance. Chery QQ achieved 13,713 units sales with 5.9% growth year on year, which was the only brand with a growth rate in all mini models; Flagcloud sales reached 9,804 vehicles (up 28.6%), remaining the second place in A segment, following Jetta; Tiggo NCV reached 3,901 units (up 388.8%), played a leading role in the China made SUV market; Oriental Son exceeded Chevrolet Epica with sales 2575 units, a growth of 152.9% year on year; medium class Chery V5 sales reached up to 6800 units (5662.7% growth).
