Beijing Hyundai's one millionth engine rolls off assembly line

Shanghai. December 11 (Gasgoo.com) Beijing Hyundai's one millionth engine rolled off assembly line yesterday in the second engine plant in Beijing, Chinese state media Xinhua News Agency reported today.
 
The Hyundai's second engine plant, located in Shunyi district, northeastern outskirts of Beijing, started production in August this year, while Hyundai's first engine plant started production in 2004. The two engine plants have a combined annual output capacity of half a million engines.
 
The engines produced by Beijing Hyundai are sold back to Hyundai Motors in South Korea and exported to Russia, Turkey and India. Beijing Hyundai has exported a total number of 120,000 engines by the end of November this year.
 
The automation rate of the assembly line in Beijing Hyundai has surpassed 40 percent, nearing the highest level (40 percent-50 percent) in the world.
