Subaru 2009 Forester may be launched in China next March

Shanghai. December 29 (Gasgoo.com) - Subaru released official photos and technical specifications of its third-generation Forester in Japan yesterday. The vehicle will be launched in Japan or North America next year and it is likely to be introduced to Chinese market in March 2008, Chinese auto website Cheshi.com reported.
 
This 2009 Forester is a mid-size crossover that will make its world debut at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in January. Priced between 1,995,000 yen and 3,207,750 yen, the model will be powered by revised 2.0 L or 2.5 liter engines, available in naturally aspirated and turbocharged variants.
 
It also has a lengthened wheelbase rides on the automakers famous symmetrical All Wheel Drive system, suspended by a new double-wishbone rear-suspension which improves crash performance, interior space and ride quality.
 
Standard safety features include standard side-curtain airbags with rollover compatibility and a Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) stability and traction management system. Four wheel disc brakes with ABS are also standard.
