Youngman and Lotus to launch RCR this month

Shanghai. January 2 (Gasgoo.com) – Chinese automaker Youngman Automobile Group and United Kingdom automaker Lotus will jointly launch first race car RCR in January this year, Chinese official media Xinhua News Agency reported today.
 
The race car, which is to be launched this month, is powered by a 1.6 Liter Campro engine. Its maximum output is 112 hp/6000 rpm and its maximum torque is 149 Nm/4000.
 
The car can accelerate to 100 Km/Hour in 10.5 second and its maximum speed can reach 190 Kilometer/hour.
 
The model, which is based on the platform of Gen-2 produced by Lotus, will be priced at RMB 100,000 (USD 13,690) to RMB 150,000 (USD 20,537), according to Youngman Auto. The Chinese automaker said it had spent over RMB 2 billion (USD 273 million) developing this model.
 
In 2006 Beijing Auto Show, China’s Youngman Group signed strategic cooperation agreement with British automaker Lotus.
