BYD has signed a contract in Shanghai with Portugal, Angola, and Verde for export of BYD cars to Europe yesterday, and BYD F3 might firstly be sold in Portugal.

BYD Auto Sales Manager Xia Zhibing, who just participated in the negotiation, told the reporter that the agreement fulfilled part of BYD's strategy to explore oversea market this year. Delegation from Portugal said the autos sold in European market must be technologically advanced, fuel efficient and safe. The successful exports of BYDF3 showcased that China autos have won wide recognitions of consumers.

Last year China exported 90,000 vehicles totally, which made self-brand auto manufacturers set a higher goal for export profits. BYD plans to sell 150,000 cars this year, and 1,000 units are scheduled to be sold abroad. In China BYD has reached a sales volume of 60,000 units last year.
