Zhejiang Zotye aims to sell 100,000 vehicles this year

Shanghai. March 10 (Gasgoo.com) – The Zhejiang-based Zotye Auto plans to sell 100,000 passenger vehicles this year, a senior company official announced last week.
 
At the company’s annual conference in Xiangtan, Hunan province last week, Wu Jianzhong, board chairman of Zotye Auto Group said the automaker plans to sell 100,000 this year and it will increase output by 100,000 annually in the next a few years.
 
"We will be able to produce half a million vehicle by 2012,” Wu said.
 
The automaker also unveiled plans to launch redesigned Zotye and Alto models and all- electrical cars in the first half of this year. The automaker will introduce about ten European style vehicles, including two new car models, which will be produced on L and M platform in the second half this year.
 
In addition, the automaker also plans to start operations of an introduced 300,000 engine project in the second half year.
 
Last year, Zotye Auto sold 31,577 passenger vehicles in Chinese market.
