Shanghai, June 3 (Gasgoo.com) BYD Auto has recently announced its plan to cut up to 10,000 yuan ($1,440) off the price of its fashionable A-class manual hatchback F3R starting June 2. The previous price of the car is 828,000 yuan.

The Chinese carmaker also said that its second finishing line of the BYD plant in Xi'an, capital city of western province of Shaanxi, has been completed and will boost the production capacity of the BYD F3R. In addition, the F3R hatchback model has become a mature product of BYD and will sell better in the market segment. Therefore, BYD aims to get a large market share of its products through competitive prices.

But industry analysts said that the price cut on BYD F3R has other two deeper reasons: one is to balance the market competition, and the other is to make way for its upcoming new F3D model, which is set to go on sale in mid-June at a price of 85,800 yuan. If the old F3R sell more cheaply and quickly, the new F3R car will have more room for pricing.

China's auto market in June will have this year's second wave of new model launch. More than ten new car models, including BYD's all-new automatic F3R, will go on sale in June, a month in which the auto prices will continue to go down, as some industry experts predict.

Also from June 2, the dynamic manual version of BYD F3R has 7,000 yuan cut off its 738,000 yuan price.
