FAW-Toyota October sales rises 14% year on year to 56,000 units

Shanghai (Gasgoo)-FAW-Toyota Motor Sales Co., Ltd. had delivered more than 6,000,000 vehicles since it was founded 14 years ago. From the beginning of 2017, FAW-Toyota kept a stable positive sales growth in every month. It sold 526,000 units during January and September, and delivered 56,000 units in October with a year-on-year increase of 14%. From January to October, its sales volume totaled 583,000 units. Now, FAW-Toyota is attempting to achieve its annual sales target of 700,000 units. Considering the company had completed 83% of its 2017 sales target, FAW-Toyota is expected to complete its annual sales target in advance.

The sales volume of Corolla family reached approximately 29,000 units in October. Among them, the Corolla Hybrid delivered over 4,500 units, the SUV Prado boasted a monthly sales record, and its 2.7L model sold 4,000 units in October. FAW-Toyota will release the new Prado and the new RAV4 in November. Among them, the new Prado's appearance will be redesigned largely with newly-designed front end and interior. The new Rav4 is expected to have changes in some details compared with the existing model, and will upgrade its configurations.
