Changan Mazda November sales exceed 20,000 units with 16,000 new Axela sold
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Latest sales data from Changan Mazda shows that its November sales volume exceeded 20,000 units including 16,000 units from new Axela. Benefited from the continuously growing sales from new Axela, the cumulative sales volume of Changan Mazda reached 176,000 units from January to November.
Changan Mazda’s annual sales reached 193,600 units in 2016 with a year-on-year growth of 28%. Influenced by the sluggish passenger vehicle market, terminal sales for Changan Mazda in 2017 only show slight growth.
Its compact car new Axela and compact SUV CX-5 are the main sales drivers. New Axela’s cumulative sales were over 120,000 units in the past eleven months, and the CX-5 facelift model sold more than 45,000 units in the period. Changan Mazda also made efforts in fans marketing and entertainment marketing by initiating public service activities and sponsoring talent show.
Changan Mazda set an annual sales target of 300,000 units at the beginning of this year, which seems hard to achieve for the moment. It has launched two domestic facelift models and imported CX-3 model in 2017, but still lagging behind the fiercely competitive domestic passenger vehicle market.
