Audi China sales jump 22.6 percent year on year in February

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- FAW VW delivered a total of 124,637 vehicles in February (including the imported Audi vehicles), up 9.6 percent from a year earlier, according to the joint venture. Out of the two brands of the automaker, VW brand sold 85,409 vehicles last month while Audi brand handed over 39,228 new vehicles. Both brands are claimed to set new sales record of the same period.

The C-TREK, Magotan and Jetta under FAW VW brand all achieved outstanding sales performance. Last month, the sales of the C-TREK reached 3,703 units, surging 81.3 percent year on year. FAW VW delivered 16,778 units of the Mogatan in February, increasing 23 percent on an annual basis while the sales of the Sagitar were up to 18,775 units. In the same month, the sales of the Bora were over 14,000 units.

According to the automaker’s sales announcement, all Audi-branded models from FAW VW saw year-on-year growth in February. The sales of the luxury B-class A4L soared 67.7 percent from a year earlier to 9,333 units while the automaker delivered 3,909 units of the Audi Q3 last month.

The joint venture said that it will introduce a number of new models to enrich the product portfolio in the future, which are expected to enhance its sales momentum.
