Great Wall Motor February sales slumps 24.72% YoY to 58336 units
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Great Wall Motor Company Limited (Great Wall Motor) delivered 58,336 vehicles in February, decreasing 24.72% year on year. Meanwhile, the company’s production output slumped 26.22% from the previous year to 59,016 vehicles last month, according to the statistics released by the automaker.
The automaker had delivered a total of 168,376 vehicles in the first two months, slightly falling 0.21% compared with the same period in 2017. In the meantime, the cumulative production output in January and February reached 164,462 units with a tiny year-on-year decrease of 3.2%.
Last month, two SUV brands of Great Wall Motor, the Haval and the WEY, handed over 42,169 units and 8,529 units respectively. The monthly sales of the Haval brand plunged 36.95 percent year on year. Out of the nine models on sale, seven models saw double-digit year-on-year sales decrease. The Haval H6 remained the best-seller with a monthly delivery of 30,253 units, down 10.19 percent year on year. Both models under the WEY brand achieved a sales volume of over 4,000 units. The automaker sold 4,341 units of VV5 while the sales of VV7 were 4,188 units.
