Locally-produced Jaguar E-Pace showcased at Auto China 2018

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chery Jaguar Land Rover officially showcased the company's luxury compact SUV E-PACE at Auto China 2018, which is the joint venture's fifth model. Reportedly, the all-new locally-produced Jaguar E-PACE and its overseas version will hit the market this year at the same time.

Being ‘customer-focused’, the sporty designed Jaguar E-PACE is luxurious and practical which has an aggressive exterior and modern sports seats, greatly meeting personalized demands of young customers. Using various leading technologies, the full E-PACE series is equipped with the full-wheel drive system and the Ingenium, one of the Ward's 10 Best Engines. In addition, to meet the demands of young customers for mobile Internet, the Jaguar E-Pace provides various solutions, like the 12V power supply and USB interface, etc.

As the first model of the plant's Phase II capacity expansion program, the new model will be manufactured in Chery Jaguar Land Rover's Changshu Plant which is the first vehicle plant of Jaguar Land Rover outside UK. The quality center, in the core of the plant, is equipped with advanced test equipment to realize a world-class quality. In order to provide Chinese customers with excellent product experience, Chery Jaguar Land Rover established strict quality system, gathering world's advanced hardware facilities and manufacturing techniques, implementing global purchasing and supplier management standard as well as comprehensive cross-function quality management system.

Driven by ‘Made in China 2025’, Chery Jaguar Land Rover takes the intelligent manufacturing as a long-term strategy. The strength of the enterprise's intelligent manufacturing will be further upgraded during the Phase II capacity expansion, in which, the proportion of intelligent equipment of the general assembly workshop II will reach over 95%, and the digital upgrade will be completed gradually. The 200,000th vehicle in Jaguar Land Rover Changshu Plant just rolled off the production line, with only 43 months in total, setting a new speed record of luxury car manufacturing.
