Ex Qoros Auto CEO joins EV maker Sinogold as president

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Liu Liang, the former CEO of Qoros Auto, has officially joined the Shandong-based EV maker Sinogold as president, according to local media.

According to open information, Liu Liang got his Ph.D. degree in Japan and then was hired by Ford Motor and Visteon in the U.S. as the manager for various units. Besides, he had been employed as president of Asia Pacific and global president of WABCO, a globally-renowned CV safety and control system supplier, before he joined Qoros Auto in March, 2017. Liu has 30-year experience in many fields of automobile industry, including vehicle development, supply chain management as well as EV and lightweight technologies.

During his tenure in Qoros Auto, Liu Liang had laid a sound foundation for the company’s development by adjusting company’s strategy, optimizing operating system, lowering cost, reshaping brand image, expanding sales channels and upgrading products. Additionally, in support of shareholders, Liu and his team played a crucial role in bringing Baoneng Group as the company’s new strategic investor.

Founded in 2016, Sinogold focuses on the R&D, manufacturing and marketing of EV, auto parts and charging infrastructure. For the time being, the EV maker has completed an EV base with an annual capacity of 100,000 units. Besides, its first pure electric MPV model dubbed the Sinogold GM3 has already been put into production and hit the market.
