More details about NIO ES6 exposed

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese EV startup NIO launched the presale of the NIO ES6 5-seater all-electric SUV on December 1 with a price staring from RMB370,000 and is ready to formally unveil the new model at the NIO Day 2018 held on December 15. Let’s see what bright spots the yet-to-be-launched ES6 boasts.

According to photos released by NIO, the ES6's front face adopts the same design language as that of the ES8, while some adjustments in headlights and intake grille can still be observed. Besides, the new model features different measurement and side profile due to a lower product position over the ES8. At the rear end, the irregular-designed taillights coupled with a trapezoidal license plate frame augment more multilayered essence for the vehicle.

The ES6 basically retains the interior design from the ES8, while contains some new elements, such as the adoption of a sporty three-spoke leather-cover flat bottomed steering wheel with buttons controlling NIO pilot advanced driver assistance system on the left side and buttons for multimedia driving system on the right. At the six o'clock position, the steering wheel features a concave design adorned with chrome elements, creating an image of youth and refinement. Besides, the NIO's logo located at headrests underlines the new SUV's personality.

As a high-performance long-range electric SUV which seats five passengers, the ES6, is built on a wheelbase measuring 2,900 mm. The entire model series comes standard with an all-aluminum body and dual-motor intelligent electric all-wheel drive, while boasting an acceleration of 0-100 km/h within less than 5 seconds, said NIO.
