Volvo Cars names Qin Peiji as President of Greater China sales company
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Volvo Car Group announced on June 18 that Qin Peiji has been named as President of Volvo Cars Greater China sales company. The appointment will come into effect from July 1, 2019.

Besides, the current president Chen Lizhe is about to complete his tenure and will leave to Volvo Car Group’s Taiwan company as general manager, effective July 1 as well.
Mr. Qin joined Volvo Cars Greater China sales company as early as 2011. Before that, he had held sales-related positions in Suzuki, Chrysler and Changan Ford, according to the records on the business job search platform Linkedin.
The automaker said Mr. Qin has already had over 20-year experience in automotive industry and will keep leading the team to develop and expand Volvo Cars's business in China.
Chen Lizhe started acting as Vice President of Volvo Cars Greater China sales company in June 2016. Under his leadership, the Greater China Region achieved a remarkable sales growth exceeding 50%, becoming the group’s fastest-growing single market in the world.
According to Volvo Cars's sales data, the automaker sold 130,593 vehicles in China throughout the year of 2018, achieving a year-on-year growth of 14.1%. For the first five months of 2019, it saw its car sales in the world's largest auto market climb 9.5% from a year ago to 54,503 units.
