Geely unveils production model of Preface Concept

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Geely Auto Group unveiled the production version of the Preface Concept Sedan at the Auto China 2020. The sedan, the second model within Geely’s portfolio based on the Compact Modular Architecture (CMA), has been called Xing Rui (星瑞) as its Chinese name. According to the automaker, Xing means star while Rui can represent a good omen for the future.

The Xing Rui measures 4785 x 1869 x 1469mm with a wheelbase of up to 2800mm, making it one of the biggest, most spacious one in its segment. In designing and engineering the vehicle, Geely made rear passenger comfort a priority with special attention on increasing passenger leg room. The vehicle is said to be the only sedan equipped with 2.0TD engine in A-class segment, paired with a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox which was jointly developed by Geely and Volvo Cars.

Thanks to the CMA highly advanced electrical architecture, the Xing Rui has been endowed with a highly intelligent super brain connected to the cloud, allowing it to be fully connected to the cloud with Over the Air (OTA) updates. The Xing Rui takes OTA connectivity to the next level, enabling the model to continuously evolve.

The new model also boasts a highly sophisticated intelligent safety system, with such features as L2 autonomous driving, Auto Parking Assist, Remote Parking Assist, which are expected to set new standard for A-class sedan. The Xing Rui will arrive at Geely showrooms across the country in the coming months.
