Tesla sets up data center in China for local data storage

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Tesla said on May 25 that it has set up a  data center in China to store vehicle data locally. Data generated by Tesla vehicles sold in China will be stored locally. The company will do its utmost to guarantee vehicle data safety.

Via a Weibo post, the electric vehicle maker revealed that it has discussed with industry experts about the rules and regulations on the management of vehicle data safety and affirmed its firm support for the standardized development of the industry.  

Besides, Tesla will provide a platform for vehicle owners to have access to vehicle information. Related information and progress will be announced in due course. The company will continue to better user experience.

Vehicle data safety is of great significance, Tesla added. And it will try its best to ensure data safety.
