DOMO Chemicals breaks ground on new factory in China’s Jiaxing city

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- DOMO Chemicals, a world’s leading provider of engineering materials and sustainable plastics solutions, on Mar. 15 celebrated the groundbreaking for its new factory in Haiyan county, Jiaxing city, China’s Zhejiang province.

Involving a total investment of 14 million euros (100 million yuan) and covering an area of over 40,000 square meters, the new factory is expected to begin production at the end of the first quarter of 2024. It will focus on producing TECHNYL® high-performance polyamide materials.

Upon completion of the construction, the production capacity at the Haiyan factory will be gradually ramped up to 50,000 tonnes per year.

DOMO Chemicals established a nylon modification factory in Jiaxing city in 2016. It has been actively developing its business in the Chinese market for many years, continuously providing a variety of high-performance solutions for the nylon market.

The Haiyan factory will play a key role in enhancing DOMO Chemicals' strength in the Asian market, said the company. As for the contribution to technology innovation and sustainable development, the new factory will be equipped with solar panels, closed-loop water supply systems, as well as the advanced water & emission disposal and air purification systems.
