In March this year, Haima officially launched its FCEV pilot project in Hainan province. The first batch of 25 FCEVs was deployed in Haikou city for ride-hailing services, covering key areas like urban districts, airports, high-speed railway stations, ports, and Hainan coastal scenic highways.

During the first phase of pilot operations, Haima's FCEVs were showcased in major international events, including the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2024, the 4th China International Consumer Products Expo, and the 2024 World New Energy Vehicle Congress. In June, the cumunlative mileage of Haima's FCEV fleet exceeded 6,500 kilometers per vehicle, reaching the first-phase targets set by the local authority four months ahead of schedule.

The recently evaluated second pilot project focuses on vehicle rental scenario, expanding operations to cities like Danzhou, Wanning, and Qionghai. The 25 vehicles in this phase have already achieved an average distance exceeding 10,000 kilometers per vehicle. During the operation, these vehicles showcase various features including net-zero emissions, high efficiency, and rapid refueling, displaying potential for environmental protection, energy savings, and intelligent mobility.

Haima said it aims to further optimize the commercial operations of FCEVs, foster collaboration across the hydrogen energy industry chain, and contribute to the development of Hainan's zero-carbon automotive ecosystem.
