Geely June sales up 6.3% y/y to 15,466 units

From XFN-ASIA| July 15 , 2008 16:02 BJT

Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd said it sold 15,466 vehicles in June, up 6.3 over the same month last year and up 0.5 pct from May.

For the first six months of this year, Geely sold 106,946 vehicles, up 27.2 pct year-on-year.

The six-month figure represents 46.5 pct of its full-year sales volume target of 230,000 vehicles, the mainland automaker said.

It said June sales met expectations as stronger exports more than offset generally weaker domestic demand due to a hike in refined oil prices, the start of the slow season and poor weather in east and south China.
