China Automobile Industry Association released auto industry statistics

China Association of Automobile Industry statistics showed that in January self brand market share has risen to 30.57%, keeping far ahead of Japan Automobile brands, which accounted for 25.9%.


→ 100 models
In order to satisfy the diverse needs of customers, domestic auto manufacturers continued to introduce new models. According to Automobile Association statistics, in the past two years, more than 100 models were launched each year, including both new and modified. The latest Ferrari 2006 statistics showed that last year, 121 Ferrari cars were sold in China region; the figure is doubled than of 2005. Statistics from China Consumer Association showed that there were 5,276 complaint cases about automobile product quality, nearly 70% of the total vehicle complaint than that in 2006.

→ 21,721 yuan
A report from a domestic investigation agency showed the average spending on sustaining a car reached 21,721 yuan in 2006, with a growth of 26% compared 17,233 yuan that of in 2004.

→ 1.9059 million units
According to the latest statistics of the China Automobile Association, China's second-hand car trading volume reached 1.9059 million in 2006, an increase of 31.5%. This is the third consecutive year that second-hand car sales growth rate exceeded that of new car.

→ 22 million units
Experts estimated that by the end of 2006, the number of private cars was nearly 22 million in China, there will be at least one people who own one car in every sixty person.

→ 76.8 billion
China Association of Automobile Industry data showed that China's auto industry profits in 2006 reached 76.8 billion yuan, a growth of 46% over 2005. This is the first profits growth for China automobile industry after two consecutive declining years.
