Shanghai, August 1 (Gasgoo.com) In the buildup to the August 8-24 Olympics in Beijing, FAW Car Co will launch the Besturn sports version starting from the Guangzhou market in the coming week, but the market launch of company’s brand new A-level car Besturn B50 will be postponed, Nanfang Daily reported today.

The Besturn B50, projected to be launched at the end of this year, will be put on sale in the beginning of 2009. FAW Car intends to maintain Besturn B50’s reliability through more tests, according to Yu Yang, vice marketing director of FAW Besturn. The model is reportedly receiving the road test in southern China’s Hainan Island now.

As the 2008 Beijing summer Olympics are coming, FAW Car will launch the Besturn sports version in some cities. The Besturn sports car, code-named B70S, is remodeled from the current Besturn. The selling price for B70S is still unknown.
