Safety warning on Renault Megane removed
Shanghai, August 18 (Gasgoo.com) China's vehicle regulatory body announced today it has terminated its safety warning on Renault Megane II vehicles.
China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (GAQSIQ) said on its official website that the warning was removed because after careful investigation, it concluded that Renault is qualified to repair defect vehicles.
As of August 15, Renault will start to repair or replace the defective magnetic valves on affected vehicles, involving 1,215 Megane units, one Megane CC and 6 Laguna, at no expense of consumers.
GAQSIQ issued a safety warning on Renault on March 28 this year, requiring it to make a risk evaluation of the faulty part in the imported Renault Megane II cars and take effective measures to ensure the consumers' safety.
