China’s autonomous driving developer DeepRoute.ai partners with LiDAR supplier ZVision

Beijing (Gasgoo)- China's autonomous driving developer, DeepRoute.ai, announced that it had formed a strategic partnership with domestic solid-state MEMS LiDAR supplier ZVision, for a cost-effective mass-producible L4 autonomous driving solution.

Notably, merely two weeks ago, DeepRoute.ai just announced its partnership with another Chinese LiDAR company, RoboSense, setting to promote the mass-production of L4 autonomous driving solutions, too.

In December 2021, DeepRoute.ai launched its L4 autonomous driving solution, DeepRoute-Driver 2.0, with a low cost of under $10,000. The solution is powered by three solid-state MEMS LiDARs from ZVision, the ML-30s, and the RS-LiDAR-M1 from RoboSense.

ZVision's ML-30s short-range MEMS LiDAR specializes in eliminating blind spots with wide angles in mid-to-low speed autonomous driving scenarios. The ML-30s offers high resolution with high-density point-could output, allowing for more precise road situation recognition for autonomous vehicles.

The product was deployed to JD.com's fifth-generation driverless terminal delivery vehicles and Inceptio.ai's trunkline autonomous driving trucks.

On the other hand, the RS-LiDAR-M1 realized revolutionary improvement, from stacked 1D scan to 2D scan by chips. Its exclusive "gaze" function can adjust the scanning method when switching near/far-field perceptions, elevating the perception capability of intelligent driving systems under various scenarios.

BYD, GAC AION, WM Motor, Geely's ZEEKR, Lotus, Inceptio.ai, and Zhito Technology are the company's clients. The said LiDAR was applied to supercars, coupes, SUVs, and heavy-duty trucks.
