Great Wall Motor was once again the top seller of SUVs in June, followed by Geely Automobile, Changan Automobile, Shanghai VW, Dongfeng Nissan, GAC Group, SAIC-GM-Wuling, Shanghai GM, Dongfeng Honda and SAIC Motor. Although Great Wall’s sales fell, the amount they declined by was less than the previous month. Dongfeng Nissan’s sales also decreased 16.6%, though that decline was due to how the China Passenger Car Association recorded the sales statistics of the updated CR-V. The remaining eight manufacturers in the top ten all saw their sales increase year-on-year. Geely surpassed Changan to rank in the number two spot, chiefly thanks to the outstanding performance of the Emgrand GS. The top performing joint venture enterprise of the month was Shanghai VW, sales of which totaled 41,996 units.
