HK battery project to put into production in 2018

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Ground-breaking ceremony of Ningbo Jing Wei Battery Co. Ltd. was held in Ningbo. As the first phase project of Hybrid Kinetic Group(HK Group), the company will provide a supporting project of 300,000 new energy vehicles for HK Group. According to the plan, the project covers a total area of 207,333 square meters. With a total investment of RMB 2 billion, the first phase of the project covers an area of 126,000 square meters, which will be completed and put into operation by the end of 2018.

Early in February 17th this year, HK Group, together with Fenghua municipal government, Beijing WKW Automotive Parts Co., Ltd., and Beijing Zhiyun Fund Co., Ltd. jointly signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. With deep investigation and adequate preparation, the said four companies established Ningbo Jingwei Power Battery Co., Ltd. The registered capital is RMB 2 billion. The business scope of the company includes R&D, production and sales of batteries, battery material, battery management system and so on; development, consulting, service and transfer of new energy technology. According to the plan, HK Group will build a clean energy automotive production base in Fenghua District, which includes power center, R&D center and vehicle production center.

The battery company is a R&D center and demonstration base of HK Battery. The start-up of the power battery project (phase I) is an important part of HK Group’s construction of 300,000 units of clean energy vehicles in Ningbo. In addition to shouldering the tasks of production and sales of vehicles, the company will also set up a battery technology research institute, which will focus on the study of battery components, and battery products. They will use graphene in lithium titanate battery.
