NIO, State Grid cooperate for recharging network

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On November 27, the electric vehicle start-up NIO signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the State Grid Electric Vehicle Service Company, a subsidiary of the State Grid Corporation of China. The companies will integrate brand and resources advantages on both sides to foster a long-term steady partnership.

The agreement will promote the in-depth cooperation between the companies, especially the cooperation in energy field, such as the building and operation of battery charging and swapping network, and battery energy storage. Based on the internet and the artificial intelligence technology, two parties will make full use of complementary strengths to launch innovative new energy solutions and travelling solutions.

NIO’s battery charging and swapping system will be launched on December 16, when the company’s ES8 hits the market.
