China November new energy passenger vehicle sales exceed 80,000 units

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- According to data released by China Passenger Car Association, November sales of new energy passenger vehicles reached 80,767 units in China, jumping 24.4 percent month on month and surging 86.9 percent year on year.

In the previous eleven months, the cumulative sales of new energy passenger vehicles totaled 458,027 units, soaring 60 percent compared with the same period of last year.

As usual, Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) remained the sales driver. In November, BEV sales were 66,153 units, accounting for nearly 82 percent of the total sales volume. Last month, the sales of PHEV achieved a year-on-year surge of 222 percent to 14,614 units. By segment, the battery electric A00-class cars were also the largest segment. The segment saw a sales record of 46,948 units, up 119 percent year on year.
