Car and City: Liuzhou credited No.1 city by Mar. Hongguang MINIEV registrations

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In March 2022, the registrations of the Wuling Hongguang MINIEV, a mini-sized all-electric car model of SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW), stood at 42,566 units, leaping 41.6% year on year, while also surging 52.8% month on month, according to the data compiled by Gasgoo Auto Research Institute (GARI).

Regarding March 2022 registrations, the Hongguang MINIEV was honored the best-performing locally-made new energy passenger vehicle (NEPV) model in China. It was also the only China-made NEPV model whose registrations exceeded 40,000 units last month.

As of March 2022, the cumulative registrations of the Hongguang MINIEV added up to 606,104 units, 100,033 units were registered in the first quarter of this year.

With 1,024 units registered in March, Liuzhou, where the Hongguang MINIEV is produced, was the No.1 city by monthly registrations of the hottest-selling NEPV model.

In March, there were eight cities whose March registrations of the Hongguang MINIEV were between 700 and 900 units, three of which were from Henan province, namely, Zhengzhou, Nanyang, and Shangqiu.

On the top 10 cities list, four spots were occupied by provincial capital cities, namely, Chengdu (2nd), Zhengzhou (3rd), Shijiazhuang (4th), and Nanning (9th).

None of the four first-tier cities— Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen— entered the top 10 cities list in March 2022.
