BAIC BJEV scores YoY surge in May auto outputs, sales
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese NEV maker BAIC BJEV produced and sold 1,261 and 2,276 vehicles in May 2022, representing a year-on-year spike of 202.4% and 90.14% respectively, according to the monthly sales results released by its parent company BAIC BluePark New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (“BAIC BluePark”).
For the first five months of this year, the automaker saw its cumulative auto outputs soar 127.51% from a year earlier to 4,184 units, while its vehicle sales aggregated 13,413 units to shoot up 149.59% compared to the same span of 2021.

Last month, ARCFOX, a premium electric vehicle brand owned by BAIC BluePark, put the all-new HI (Huawei Inside) version of the αS onto the market on May 7. The model is powered by HUAWEI's full-stack intelligent auto solution and HarmonyOS, with high-level urban intelligent driving functions. It comes with two trim levels, which are priced at 397,900 yuan ($59,670) and 429,900 yuan ($64,470) respectively.
BAIC BluePark said on May 30 BAIC BJEV has received 305.02 million yuan ($45.745 million) worth of governmental subsidies for NEV promotion.
