Beijing (Gasgoo)- In June 2024, after a month of meticulous preparation and trial operations, WeRide's autonomous minibus (Robobus) commenced its maiden journey from the Equarius Hotel at Resorts World Sentosa, traveling to Resorts World Sentosa. This marks the launch of Singapore's first L4 autonomous minibus route on public roads.

It is also Singapore's first service integrating manual shuttle transportation with autonomous microcirculation shuttle, connecting five-star hotels with a luxurious integrated resort.

This 1.2-kilometer route, established in partnership with Resorts World Sentosa and EZ Buzz Pte. Ltd., features four stops and takes approximately 12 minutes to complete. Hotel guests and tourists can board the Robobus at any of the designated stops. From obtaining the M1 and T1 Level 1 public road test licenses for autonomous vehicles in December 2023 to the deployment of the Robobus, WeRide has set new industry benchmarks for speed and efficiency.

WeRide's Robobus is the world's first mass-produced L4 autonomous minibus designed for microcirculation transit. It is already operational in nearly 30 cities worldwide, serving major urban areas, large airports, upscale resorts, and popular tourist destinations.

WeRide's rapid development in Singapore is evident, with the successful commercial deployment of both its autonomous sanitation vehicle (Robosweeper) and Robobus. This underscores WeRide's leadership in the global autonomous driving sector and the replicability of its business models.
