ZEEKR delivers 1,795 new vehicles in March
ZEEKR, a premium EV brand of Geely Auto, delivered 1,795 new vehicles in March 2022, resulting in 14,248 units in its cumulative deliveries. The automaker said its production outputs and deliveries are likely to recover in April after it received a new batch of core parts at the end of March.

Changan New Energy announces price increase
Due to the factors like rising prices of upstream raw materials, Changan New Energy announced on Thursday it would raise the guidance price of a certain version of the Changan Benben E-Star by 4,000 yuan ($630). The decision came into effect on April 1.
Hainan subsidizes EV charging
To encourage private consumers to use new energy vehicles, Hainan provincial government will offer subsidies of 2,000 yuan ($315) per car to a NEV owner who uses over 2,000 kWh of electricity in 2022 to charge electric vehicles, according to a document the government issued in late March. Those who consume an annual charging volume of below 2,000kWh will be given subsidies of 1,500 yuan ($236) per car. Eligible NEVs should be locally registered in Hainan.
Roewe lifts NEV prices, but leaves one-month grace period
Roewe, a self-owned PV brand of SAIC Motor, said on March 21 it would raise the guidance prices of the Roewe Ei5 and some versions of the Roewe i6 MAX EV by 3,000 yuan ($470) to 5,000 yuan ($790) due to the hike in raw materials prices. However, the decision will become effective on May 1, 2022.
2022 JMEV Yi hits market
The 2022 Yi, the refreshed version of JMEV's first battery electric sedan model, recently hit the market with four trim levels priced between 139,800 yuan ($22,010) and 195,800 yuan ($30,830). JMEV is a joint venture among Groupe Renault (as a majority holder), Jiangling Motors Corporation Group (JMCG) and China Agricultural Development Construction Fund Corporation.
